Barcelona confirm Ousmane Dembele stance amid Liverpool 'interest'

Barcelona have reportedly transfer listed Ousmane Dembele amid interest from Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

The Catalan club are willing to offload many stars this summer in order to finance a move for priority target Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.

Though they have been financially hamstrung by the coronavirus outbreak, Barcelona are also eyeing a sensational move for Neymar - with PSG demanding £155million for the Brazilian superstar.

Therefore, Barca are willing to part ways with Dembele, who became their second most expensive player ever when he was signed from Borussia Dortmund for an initial fee of £96.8million in 2017.

The Spanish giants will inform the Frenchman's agent of their decision to transfer list him in August, according to Spanish outlet Sport.

They are yet to receive any formal offers for Dembele and suitors Liverpool, PSG and Juventus are wary of the World Cup winner's injury record.

Statistics experts Transfermarkt.com record that he has missed 86 games across nine separate injuries in his three seasons at Camp Nou.

Though he is currently out with a hamstring injury, it is hoped Dembele will return in time for Champions League action in August - but La Liga matches in June and July will come too soon.

The 23-year-old has made only nine appearances this season, scoring once, and last featured in November.

But Dembele has expressed a desire to stay with Barcelona through his representatives and is keen to add to the two league titles and Copa del Rey he has won with the club.

After a similarly injury-struck debut season in Catalonia, Dembele kicked on from World Cup glory with an impressive 2018/19 campaign.

The former Stade Rennais winger scored 13 goals and provided nine assists and was fit enough to make 41 appearances across all competitions.

Potential suitors, including Liverpool, will hope he can return to fitness and form in August's European fixtures as they eye a summer swoop.
