Barcelona B team player wears Philippe Coutinho's No.7 shirt against Chelsea

Philippe Coutinho's number seven shirt was worn by B team player Carles Perez in Barcelona's Rakuten Cup clash with Chelsea.

Coutinho wasn't in Japan for the friendly match as he has been given an extended rest period due to his involvement in the Copa America.

But his shirt was in action as the Blues recorded a 2-1 win over the Catalan club, with goals coming from Tammy Abraham, Ross Barkley and Ivan Rakitic.

Coutinho looks set to remain at the Nou Camp this summer despite falling down the pecking order at the club and continually being linked with a move away.

There were claims the Brazilian was going to lose his number seven shirt when Antoine Griezmann was signed for £108million.

Griezmann wore the number at Atletico Madrid and also sports it for the France national team, but picked 17 after completing his switch.

It is not clear why Perez wore the number seven shirt on Tuesday, although it has little relevance on Coutinho's future at the club.

Coutinho remains a Paris Saint-Germain transfer target, but the huge numbers involved in getting the deal over the line remain a stumbling block.

Neymar's future in France is also still undecided, and PSG are unlikely to make a concrete offer for Coutinho unless there is movement on this front first.
