Barcelona and Man Utd join transfer race for Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi

Callum Hudson-Odoi's England exploits have put ALL of Europe's top clubs on alert.

Interest in the Chelsea starlet, 18, has exploded off the back of his exciting displays against Czech Republic and Montenegro.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund already wanted to take advantage of the winger's uncertain situation at Chelsea and take him to Germany.

But they are now facing competition from the continent's leading sides.

Barcelona and Manchester United are among the clubs who have now muscled into the race to try and sign Hudson-Odoi.

And they are aware that their big-name rivals in their own countries plus France and Italy are also desperate to find out if there is a way they can lure Hudson-Odoi away from Stamford Bridge.

Marcus Rashford has 'no desire' to leave Man Utd in £100million Barcelona transfer

His cameo off the bench against the Czechs and 90 minutes in Montenegro were Hudson-Odoi's first senior England appearances.

And they have convinced his growing list of admirers that he is not just an exciting prospect for the future but ready to make an impact at the top level now.

Hudson-Odoi Chelsea deal runs until 2020 and the Blues have already dug their heels in to stop him leaving for Bayern, who made four bids up to £35m, in January.

Chelsea's determination to keep him is set to be even stronger in the summer, especially if they lose Real Madrid target Eden Hazard or fail to overturn their two-window transfer ban, even if it means losing the youngster for a compensation fee at the end of his deal next year.

Chelsea chiefs know that how much game time he receives between now and the end of the season will be key to whether Hudson-Odoi pushes for a move again after putting in a transfer request in January.

And his England showings plus boss Gareth Southgate's reward for showing faith in him have cranked up the pressure on Blues boss Maurizio Sarri to hand Hudson-Odoi more opportunities.

The Italian has been reluctant to so far this season.

And all eyes will be on the team sheets when Chelsea travel to Cardiff on Sunday to see if Hudson-Odoi's England displays have had as much impact on Sarri as elsewhere.
