Barcelona and AC Milan 'want' Manchester United's Jesse Lingard and more transfer rumours

Barcelona and AC Milan are interested in signing Manchester United's Jesse Lingard.

That's according to ESPN who report that both European giants are eyeing a move for the playmaker as they are aware that his contract runs out at the end of the season, which means they could strike a pre-agreement deal with Lingard in January.

Lingard, 28, reignited his career on loan at West Ham last season and, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted he would be in his plans, the academy product has been used sporadically this term - Lingard is understood to be desperate for guaranteed playing time.

Solskjaer reiterated United's desire to keep Lingard beyond his current contract at his press conference on Friday.

Barcelona and AC Milan are said to be 'monitoring' the situation that is brewing at Old Trafford.

In more transfer news, ESPN also report that Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has offered his client's signature to Barcelona, with the high profile representative believed to be actively sounding out interest from some of the continent's most elite sides.

It's claimed that Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and multiple other Premier League clubs have also been approached regarding Pogba who - like Lingard - can begin negotiations from January with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

If Pogba does seek an exit, the report claims United scouts have been following Aurelien Tchouameni's progress at Monaco.
