Barburrito restaurant to close its Headrow branch

A popular restaurant chain is shutting one of its branches in Leeds city centre.

Barburrito, known for its fresh and speedy Mexican dishes, will close its eatery based on The Headrow, which is part of The Light.

Signs ahev gone up outside the building to tell customers of the branch closure.

But it isn’t all bad news for those who like Barburrito because its sister venue in Leeds city will remain open. People can still visit it at its Boar Lane base for Mexican treats.

We'll bring you more on the reasons for Barburritos' closure when we have further information.

We are also looking into who could replace it.

It has certainly been a challenging year so far for many shops and restaurants in Leeds.

So far in 2020, we’ve seen Timberland, Monsoon, Handmade Burger Co, Next Level and more shut up shop in Leeds.
