To Paris, France, where strongwilled songbird Barbra Streisand has just been awarded the Legion of Honour, presumably for services to biannual farewell tours.
"You are the America that we love," Nicolas Sarkozy informed her at the presentation. "Women like you do a lot to bring our two peoples together."
We have no clue what the celebrity-bothering French President is on about, but Barbra wouldn't want us to have a word in edgeways anyway.
"I am deeply honoured to be joining the playwrights, heads of state, artists and leaders who have accepted this honour before me," she said, thus highlighting the absurdity of her inclusion having taken so long.
"I leave with a sense of inspiration and responsibility as an artist to always reflect the truth and as a citizen to try and create a world of justice, compassion, equality and peace."
