Barbra Steisand gives George Floyd's daughter Disney shares

The daughter of George Floyd - whose death in police custody sparked protests across the world - has received Disney shares as part of a gift package sent to her by musician Barbra Streisand.

Streisand, 78, sent papers to Gianna Floyd which confirm she now holds stock in the company.

Streisand also gifted Gianna with two of her albums, My Name Is Barbra and Color Me Barbra.

"Thank You @barbrastreisand for my package, I am now a Disney Stockholder thanks to you," read the caption accompanying an image of Gianna holding up papers.

News of Streisand's gift follows other celebrities who have chipped in money and support for the daughter of Floyd. Kanye West has set up a college fund to cover Gianna's tuition, along with donations to the families of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor to cover their legal costs.
