Australian javelin star Kelsey-Lee Barber has produced yet another clutch final-round throw to book her spot in the upcoming Diamond League final in Zurich.

Competing in a Continental Tour meet in Rovereto, Italy, on Wednesday morning (AEST), the 2019 world champion and Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist again stepped up when it mattered most.

Barber's best throw of 60.72m in the concluding round of the event - which doubled as a Diamond League qualifier - lifted her into fourth place, ensuring she earned a spot in the lucrative final in Switzerland on September 8-9 by just one point.

German Christin Hussong won the event with a 66.08m throw.

Barber, 29, clinched the 2019 world title in Doha with a massive throw of 66.56m and also produced her best throws in the concluding rounds of both the qualifying competition and the final in Tokyo.

In other Australian action in Rovereto, Rohan Browning was fourth in the men's 100m in 10.25 seconds and Catriona Bisset was fourth in the women's 800m in two minutes 01.03 seconds.

Other Australians to have booked their spots in the Diamond League final in Zurich are Olympic high jump silver medallist Nicola McDermott, Bisset (women's 800m), Linden Hall (women's 1500m), Ollie Hoare (men's 1500m) and Stewart McSweyn (men's 5000m).

Eleanor Patterson may also join McDermott in the women's high jump.

The winner of each event at the DL final will pocket $30,000 ($A41,000).
