Barbara Windsor's husband Scott Mitchell 'inherits her £1million company' after her death

Barbara Windsor's husband Scott Mitchell has inherited her company, which is worth £1million, it's claimed.

Scott is now the sole director for her company Sauce E Ltd, which she used for her TV pay, according to new documents.

Latest accounts for 2019 show it had £1million in its coffers, including £920,000 in cash, according to The Sun.

Back in December Barbara died aged 83 after battling Alzheimer's and before her death, Scott had a 25 percent stake in the company.

The money mostly came as a result of her role playing Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders, which she quit in 2016.

She had been £1million in debt before landing the role in 1994.

But Barbara was said to be worth £10million before she died.

Scott and Barbara married in 2000 and he cared for her during the six years she battled Alzheimer's.

Announcing her death last year, Scott said: "It is with deep sadness that I can confirm that my darling wife Barbara passed away at 8.35pm on Thursday 10 December at a London care home.

"Her passing was from Alzheimer's/dementia and Barbara eventually died peacefully and I spent the last seven days by her side.

"Myself, her family and friends will remember Barbara with love, a smile and affection for the many years of her love, fun, friendship and brightness she brought to all our lives and the entertainment she gave to so many thousands of others during her career.

"Barbara's final weeks were typical of how she lived her life. Full of humour, drama and a fighting spirit until the end.

"It was not the ending that Barbara or anyone else living with this very cruel disease deserve.

"I will always be immensely proud of Barbara's courage, dignity and generosity dealing with her own illness and still trying to help others by raising awareness for as long as she could."

Barbara was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2014, but kept her condition secret until symptoms started to show in 2018.

Scott moved Barbara into a care home on the advice of her neurologist.

Sadly, her condition had worsened in the months before her death.
