Barbados issues Covid travel rule update for UK holidaymakers

Barbados have updated their travel rules for visitors regarding Covid entry requirements.

Barbados is currently not on Scotland's red list which means travellers returning to Scotland who are fully vaccinated do not need to take a pre-departure test and only take a day two Covid-19 test.

But holidaymakers are being encouraged to check their destination's travel rules as they can enforce their own rules for Brits.

Now, Barbados have announced that they are easing entry requirements for people arriving to the holiday hotspot.

From Sunday October 24, the second Covid-19 test that was required-will be removed for fully vaccinated travellers.

However, some may be notified that they have been chosen at random for a Rapid Antigen test on entry by Health Officials at the Grantley Adams International Airport.

In this case, people must take the test free of charge and depart the airport using only approved transportation while waiting for the result.

The quarantine period has also been removed for those who have had double doses of the vaccine.
