Former US President Barack Obama has been pictured arriving in Glasgow ahead of his appearance at the COP26 summit.
The 60-year-old touched down at Glasgow Airport on Sunday night and was photographed being driven away in a black motor.
He earlier confirmed on Twitter that he would be visiting the city to play his part in the global effort to tackle the climate change emergency.
He tweeted: “Five years ago, the Paris Agreement went into effect. Paris provided an important framework in the fight against climate change, but it wasn’t enough.
"That’s why I’ll be speaking in Glasgow on Monday about the road ahead and what young people in particular can do to help."
This is his first visit to Scotland since his last trip in 2017.

Current US President Joe Biden attended the first two days of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, at the SEC alongside other world leaders.
