A city centre bar that boasts 'the best views in the UK' is facing a battle with local residents who have accused it of hosting 'rowdy events'.
Liberte on Brunswick Street recently topped a list of bars in the country with the best view, owing to its rooftop which overlooks the famous Three Graces.
But the bar is now facing a battle with local residents over its plans to extend its opening hours.

The latest plans would see the venue's main indoor area on the second floor of the building extend its opening hours from 2am until 4am every day.
The bar's rooftop area would continue to close at midnight as it does now under the proposals.
In total, 13 local residents and one city centre councillor, Nick Small, have objected to the move, with some citing previous battles with the venue over opening hours and anti-social behaviour.
In objections posted on Liverpool Council's website, one resident said: "It’s been a troublesome bar for residents on either side of it and can only imagine this would exacerbate issues, especially with noise."
Another local said: "The venue has been hosting increasingly rowdy events, including occasions when party goers have spilt out on to Brunswick Street at closing time, shouting and sometimes fighting in the road. Police have been called several times.
"We believe the area is not suitable for nightclub type licensing, as all of their neighbours are either residential, offices or restaurants. There are no other clubs in the immediate area."
Another resident accused the bar of 'blasting loud music' after the current licensing hours, adding: "Complaints were not taken seriously by the council and having them extend their operating time will continue to decrease the quality of lives of the residents living in the area.
"We live right across to Liberte and have a baby in our household. This has been an ongoing battle trying to get them to be considerate with their level of music and flashing light."
These objections have been backed up by Cllr Small, who posted his own reservations about the proposals.
He said: "The extension of the premises licence for the second floor would breach the prevention of public nuisance condition as it would result in excessive noise late at night for residents living in Beetham Plaza which faces the premises.
"I have been contacted by older people living here and people working shifts. Residents living here already experience excessive noise nuisance from the premises. There have been several breaches of existing licensing conditions. A 4am terminal hour would make this worse for residents living there."
In a further response to the application, Liverpool Council's Environmental Health team said: "We have had numerous noise complaints about the premises from nearby residents – mostly relating to noise arising from the rooftop bar area, and a Noise Abatement Notice is currently in force in relation to the rooftop bar."
The team said that as a 'precautionary approach', they would suggest that hours for the 2nd floor bar area of Liberte should not be extended beyond 2am.
The licensing meeting to decide on Liberte's proposals will take place at Liverpool Town Hall on March 9.
