Bar Wave - a stalwart for cheap drinks, DJ's and karaoke appears to have closed its doors to the public.
A sign on the door indicates Waves is now waving a goodbye...
The popular bar on Portland Street, located underneath The Britannia Hotel and identified by its big blue banners and eye catching signs stamped on its windows is now sporting a sign telling of its closure.
The long running bar, a short walk from Manchester Art Gallery, is known for offering cocktails, music and a full nightclub experience on a budget.
A bustling bar with a pub-style menu of pizza and pasta dishes, plus weekend DJ sessions, it has been a part of the pub and dining scene for decades.
A sign now reads: "As of Saturday 11/12/21 Bar Wave will be closed until further notice.
We apologise for any inconvenience."

The venue opened a new cocktail bar inside its nightclub in 2017.
It is usually open all week throughout the daytime for cheap drinks and food and then at weekends and bank holiday weekends opens up for a full nightclub experience.
Nobody was available for comment about why Bar Wave is closed or whether it will be opening its doors again.
