'Banter if he plays at QPR' - Fans react with Bristol City close to deal for Nottingham Forest target

Bristol City are said to be close to agreeing a fee for Burnley striker Nahki Wells.

The Robins are keen on the Burnley striker after he was recalled from QPR and ahead of suitors Nottingham Forest.

With City set to face QPR on Saturday, Robins fans could not help but see the irony at the prospect of Wells making his debut at Loftus Road.

Will C: Great banter if he plays against QPR on Saturday!

Ashley Gent: Just in time to play QPR, love it.

Stuart Angell: You watch him score the winner Saturday if he does sign.

BCFC Oliver the Dog: Thank you Mr Lansdown.

SM: Get Nakhi on the roof.

Tony: So apparently a fee has been agreed with Burnley for Wells, all down to the player now! Am I the only one that’s heard this all before?

Phillippa: Really hope this is true & it happens soon, so he can be in the squad in Saturday even if he comes on as sub...

Charlie: Would be great if we can complete this. Worked well with Palmer at Huddersfield, did well with a target man next to him at QPR and Eliasson's balls will be a dream for him.

City related: Might be very close to signing Wells, but don’t know if this will involve Brownhill going the other way as well in this version of the deal!
