Banners hoisted across the Hyderabad with 17 big questions to 'Modi Ji'

HYDERABAD: A banner screamed - Modi ji where is IIM (Indian Institute of Management) for Telangana? - bang in front of Indian School of Business (ISB), Gachibowli, ostensibly to grab the attention of the PM, who stepped into the premier B-school to attend the graduation ceremony on Thursday. Not just at ISB, posters with 17 questions to the PM were hoisted across vantage points, questioning Modi on his unfulfilled promises to Telangana.

The banners read - "Modi Ji, Why no national status for Palamuru-Rangareddy Project?", "Where is ITIR for Telangana?" and "Where is Kazipet Rail Coach Factory". Incidentally, the banners, which were put up by TRS supporters, did not carry names, but locations were chosen carefully.

For instance, Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) banner was erected at Wipro circle in the IT corridor. Similarly, on the assurance of rail coach factory at Kazipet banner put up at the Secunderabad railway station, national status for Kaleshwaram project on tank bund, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research for Telangana at Arts College, OU, funds for Mission Kakatiya at Hyderabad Metro Water Board, demand for National Institute of Design at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) at Madhapur and Navodaya schools banner was put up at Kendriya Vidyala Picket in Secunderabad.

TRS and the Telangana government have been raising issues like ITIR project, Navodaya schools, turmeric board, national status for Kaleshwaram and Palamuru-Rangareddy project, defence corridor and funds for pharma city in Hyderabad. Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and IT and industries minister KTR Rama Rao have been criticising the Centre on various platforms. KTR had even pointed out the discrimination on twitter on several occasions.
