Banned motorist made "foolish" decision to drive

He admitted driving while disqualified on Morton Place, Dalrymple, on October 1.

White admitted to driving without insurance on the same date.

Fiscal Depute Scott Toal told the court how police officers stopped the vehicle in Morton Place during a routine check and, following a Police National Computer (PNC) check the accused was found to be a disqualified driver from Glasgow Justice of the Peace Court and Ayr Sheriff Court, from 2018. White’s vehicle was seized.

White’s defence solicitor said: “It was a foolish decision on his part.”

White was handed a community payback order which requires him to carry out 140 hours of unpaid work in the community to be completed within the next six months. White was banned from the roads for 12 months.
