A painting by the artist Banksy, depicting Britain's parliament as chimpanzees, will soon go up for auction by the London-based Sotheby's between September 28 and October 3. The painting will be displayed one mile away from the Westminster Palace.

The auction date comes ahead of the rescheduled Brexit day. The painting, which stands at 13 feet, is the biggest tableau ever drawn by an elusive artist who gained his popularity through his sarcastic paintings.

The display of the "Devolved Parliament" painting is supposed to be followed by an auction on October 3. The masterpiece is expected to fetch one to 1.5 million sterling pounds ($1-8-$2.46 million).

Banksy was born in 1973 in the city of Bristol, southern Britain. He was known for his bold and sarcastic political works that express his opinion about the ongoing events. His paintings highlighted many causes including the asylum to Europe, climate changes, and the unfair practices towards immigrants, and recently Brexit.

Banksy sees that "art should be a reason of comfort for the tired, and a reason of worry for the comforted."

The "Devolved Parliament" painting was displayed for the first time ten years ago in an exhibition dubbed "Banksy Faces the Bristol" that was attended by over 300,000 visitors, which has made it one of the most seen paintings in the world. But, the artwork has come back again in spotlight following the British parliament's voting to leave the European Union.
