A Valentine's Day themed mural which has appeared in Bristol has been claimed by famous street artist Banksy.
The work of art appeared on the side of a house in Barton Hill on Thursday, February 13.
Residents quickly speculated it belonged to the artist, though he remained tight lipped until Valentine's Day when a photo appeared on his Instagram page and website.
The graffiti shows a child using a slingshot to shoot bright red roses into the sky above.
It's believed to be playing with the themes of violence an innocence, like much of his work which highlights social injustice and other political issues.
The new piece is the second to appear in the UK in the last few months.
Just before Christmas, the artist shared a video to Instagram of a homeless man sipping a drink while sat on a bench in Birmingham.
As the man, identified as a rough sleeper named Ryan, settles down to sleep, the camera zooms out to reveal two reindeer spray painted onto the wall beside him.
They appear to be pulling the bench up into the star-filled sky.
In 2018, Banksy took credit for a spray painted image on the side of a domestic garage in Port Talbot, Wales.
The image covered two walls, and pictured a child dressed for snow playing in the falling ash and smoke from a skip fire.
The artwork sold for a six figure sum in January 2019.
