Banksy creates humorous new artwork in his home bathroom under coronavirus lockdown

Bristol's Banksy has shared his latest work of rats causing havoc in his bathroom during the coronavirus lockdown.

The world's most famous graffiti artist posted a series of five images on Instagram tonight (Wednesday, April 15) along with the caption: “My wife hates it when I work from home”.

People across the UK have been battling with boredom and potential relationship woes as no one has been allowed to leave their homes - apart for essential trips - for more than three weeks.

Breaking his silence on the current crisis, Banksy resurrected his popular stencils of rats, which have appeared in lots of his artworks, but this time they are being brought to life in the intimate setting of a bathroom.

Although the jury is still out on whether this is Banksy's real toilet.

The humorous piece shows one rat urinating against the toilet seat while another rodent is spreading toilet roll around the room.

Thousands of fans have already praised the new work (Banksy)

And toothpaste is being squirted on a wall in the third image by a rat swinging from the towel holder.
