Bank to move entrepreneur accelerator hub into city centre

Royal Bank of Scotland is flitting its Entrepreneur Accelerator hub , based in its Gogarburn headquarters, back into the centre of the capital.

It will mean a move for a number of high-growth businesses that have been supported by the bank's incubator. The bank has submitted plans to refurbish the south wing of 36 St Andrew Square to create a new space for its hub.

"The renovation work will be carried out over the coming months and in preparation for our re-location, we will move temporarily to the Gemini building at 24-25 St Andrew Square, enabling us to get accustomed to working from the city and for the property teams to consider how they can use the space we are vacating,'' said an announcement.

Future members will be in a bespoke space within an iconic Edinburgh building, close to the FinTechs and the other business partners in the city. The Accelerator will officially move out of Gogarburn and will no longer be accessible to entrepreneurs from 20 December.
