A man was arrested at his home hours after he allegedly robbed a TCF Bank branch Tuesday in southwest suburban Burbank.

Investigators used several surveillance and red-light cameras to identify the suspect as he drove off in a vehicle, Burbank police said in a statement.

Police and FBI agents arrested a 61-year-old man in south suburban Dolton about 4 p.m., only hours after he allegedly robbed the bank inside a Jewel, 7910 S. Cicero Ave., police said. Charges are pending.

The Sun-Times is not naming the suspect because he has not been charged with the robbery.

Police said the man approached the bank teller about 9:15 a.m. and showed a note to the teller demanding cash, police said.

The teller complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money, Shore said. The suspect, who did not show a weapon, drove off in a red four-door car.

A spokesperson for the FBI did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

Police say this car was involved in bank robbery Oct. 22, 2019, at a TCF Bank in Burbank.
