Bank of America robbed at gunpoint in Park Ridge

A person robbed a Bank of America branch at gunpoint Wednesday in northwest suburban Park Ridge.

The male suspect walked into the bank at 12:49 a.m. at 501 N. Greenwood Ave., according to a statement from Park Ridge police. He displayed a handgun, walked around the counter and took money from the teller drawer before running away.

No injuries were reported, police said.

The suspect stood 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11, weighed about 150 pounds and wore a dark-colored coat with black pants, black shoes, white gloves and something black covering his face, according to the FBI.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest, authorities said.
