We're now halfway through the year and things are starting to look that little more promising after more than a year spent pretty much at home.
With places gradually starting to reopen again after the pandemic, we can now start embracing bank holidays the way we used to, with days out, long weekends away and drinks with friends.
For many people, a bank holiday means a day off work, so make sure you take note of when they are and if you need to get them booked off with the boss!

How to make the most of your holiday entitlement
If you're one of the lucky people who don't have to work on bank holidays, you can extend your time off by just booking a few extra days.
For example, if you were to use five days of annual leave around the next bank holiday, you could have nine days off.
By booking August 31 and September 1,2 and 3 off you'll have created a nine-day holiday for yourself, lasting from August 28 until September 6.
