Bristol is set for hours of solid sunshine this bank holiday weekend, before the weather takes a turn for the worse next week. Tomorrow (Saturday, April 30) will see highs of 16C at 2pm, with the sunny conditions expected to last into the evening.
Saturday and May Day Monday (May 2) will be the hottest days, with a rainy interval expected on Sunday (May 1.) According to the Met Office, there is a 50 percent chance of rain on Sunday, with highs of 12C at 1pm.
The bank holiday weekend will see the last of the sunny weather before a 'cold snap' which is forecast for the start of May. According to weather map WX Charts, Bristol will see a deluge of rain on Friday, May 6.

Bristol is set to escape the worst of the freezing weather forecast for May, according to the Met Office, but "unsettled" and "breezy" conditions are expected. Dry and sunny weather will arrive in mid May and continue into June, the forecaster says.
According to the Met Office forecast for the south west this weekend, the hot weather will start today (Friday, April 29), with temperatures dropping overnight. Tomorrow will be warm with maximum temperatures of 17C in some places, with six solid hours of sunshine forecast between 6am and midday.
It will be "rather cloudy" on Sunday with a chance of drizzle. Bright and sunny spells are forecast for Monday and Tuesday.

Today:
After a bright and chilly start to the morning it will be a fine day with some long sunny periods. Some fair weather cloud will build into the afternoon, but it will remain dry. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Tonight:
After a fine evening it will remain dry overnight, with lengthy clear spells developing during the early hours. Cold enough for a touch of frost in the countryside by morning. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
Saturday:
Saturday morning will be fine and dry with largely sunny skies. A little cloudier in the afternoon, but still feeling warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Rather cloudy on Sunday with perhaps a little drizzle. Brighter for Bank Holiday Monday with light showers. Bright or sunny spells and few sharp showers on Tuesday.
