The June bank holiday is here, meaning supermarkets across Ireland have made changes to their usual opening hours.

Anyone looking to replenish supplies after the long weekend should check their local shops operating hours in advance so they don’t get caught out.

Many stores are operating with unusual hours today, but the majority aren't expected to close.

Dunnes Stores

Dunnes Stores are expected to follow their usual Sunday opening hours on bank holiday Monday.

For the most part, Dunnes Stores shops are open from 9am until 8pm on Sunday.

However, these vary greatly from store to store so you can check out the official website for more information on your local supermarket.

Aldi

Aldi have confirmed changes for bank holiday Monday, when most stores will be open between 9am and 9pm.

However, a spokesperson confirmed that Monday opening times will vary slightly at certain stores, so customers should ensure that they check details on Aldi's website before their trip.

The following stores have confirmed they will operate different hours today:

Killarney – 10am to 7pm

Swords – 10am - 9pm

Dunshaughlin - 10am - 9pm

Mulhuddart – 10am - 7pm

Blanchardstown -10am - 7pm

Laytown - 11am - 7pm

Dunshaughlin - 10am - 9pm

SuperValu

Each SuperValu will likely be implementing their usual Sunday hours on bank holiday Monday.

Generally, the shops are open from 8am to 10pm, however it varies depending on location so you can check out the official SuperValu website for your local store's opening hours.

Lidl
