Bank Holiday Friday: Dublin weather as rain WARNING still in place for counties in Ireland, Met Eireann predicts a strange forecast for the capital today

It's a mixed bag today for the capital with high temperatures, rain and cloudy conditions all promised for Friday.

The top temperatures of 21 degrees will be shared with outbreaks of rain and drizzle throughout the day.

Met Eireann warns of mild and humid conditions with rain most prominent in north Leinster.

Thursday night will be mainly dry with some clear spells. Rain and drizzle will develop in the southwest towards dawn with temperatures going as low as 11 degrees.

A status yellow rainfall warning is still in place for three counties in Ireland also.

Donegal, Galway and Mayo will have to withstand severe outbreaks of rain until at least 3pm on Friday.

The warning means that "spells of persistent rain will give totals of 25 to 35 mm in parts, mainly over high ground."

It has been in place since Thursday at 10am with other warnings having been issued since the start of the week.
