Bangor student development at former Railway Institute up for sale

A development of student apartments in the heart of Bangor has been put up for sale.

Bangor Railway Institute was demolished back in 2016 despite a local campaign to save the site.

It cleared the way for a development of student properties in the university city.

Now the 45 studio apartment development opportunity has been placed on the market.

It is up for sale with Bluebell Real Estate for offers around £895,000.

A spokesman said there was an opportunity because there was a "shortage of good quality student accommodation in Bangor City of the calibre now expected both by British and International students and their parents".

They said there was a projected income of approximately £485,000 per annum.

Bangor University has more than 12,000 students from 85 different countries.
