Bangor's Farmfoods supermarket has been sold

A supermarket site in Bangor has been sold.

The freehold for the Farmfoods unit on Caernarfon Road in the city was put up for auction with Allsop in London today.

It saw bidding rise to £875,000 before the hammer came down.

An Allsop auctioneer said: "The site is in a prominent position fronting the A4087 and adjacent to McDonald's, it is not often you get a golden arch outside a site, think of the footfall."

The 10,000 sq ft unit is entirely let to Farmfoods until 2030 who currently pay a rent of £67,368 per annum with the next rent review in August 2020. There are no details on the buyer.

This summer also saw Bangor's Deiniol Shopping Centre sold at auction for £1.37m.
