Bangor high street's former Topshop store goes on the market

A former Topshop and Topman store in Bangor has gone on the market.

The store closed last summer as the already struggling Arcadia group was hit by the pandemic.

ASOS later rescued Sir Philip Green's flagship Topshop brand for £295million but the store estate was closed.

Now the Bangor High Street unit is on the market as the city looks to bounce back from the pandemic.

There will be hopes it is taken on by a retailer but it does say there is the "potential to convert first floor to residential" subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents.

The 4,700sq ft site is on for £160,000.

Agent Blue Alpine said: "The property comprises double fronted retail shop with ancillary accommodation at first floor and basement.

"There is a lift that serves ground and first floor.

"Development potential to convert first floor to residential accommodation, subject to planning."
