Bangor city centre Barclays bank building is going to auction

The Barclays bank site in Bangor city centre is set to go to auction.

Bangor's High Street has endured a difficult period with shop closures - as well as repair work blocking part of the road after a devastating restaurant fire.

Meanwhile Barclays has been closing branches across Wales in recent years but the banking giant has a lease at this property until 2027, with no breaks.

They pay £45,000 a year for the site which lies in the heart of the shopping district of the city.

It is now going to auction with Allsop - with a guide price of offers over £500,000.

The commercial auction takes place online on September 22.
