Carberry is replaced by Jonathan Trott who seems to take inspiration from his captain and puts in a slow and steady performance. He made 38 before being caught by Mushfiqur Rahim off Rubel Hossain. It was a poor decision - the ball came off his helmet and didn't touch his bat, but umpire Hill obviously thought otherwise

The England captain will surely exceed his highest Test score of 160 on day two, and later said: "It's what dreams are made of ... to bat all day, I'm really proud of that, and the team are in a really good position"
