The heart of the capital will transform into an open-air music stage for 10 hours of free concerts, performances and activities during Bangkok World Music Day 2026, which will take place on Saturday from 2pm to midnight.
Held in collaboration with the French embassy, Alliance Française Bangkok and Live Promotions, this is a major celebration of music, creativity and cultural exchange inspired by the famous Fete de la Musique in France.
After drawing nearly 7,000 visitors last year, the event returns in an even more ambitious, festive and inclusive format. More than 30 Thai, French and international artists will perform on five stages spread across One Bangkok on Rama IV Road and Alliance Française on Witthayu Road.
Conceived as a true urban and musical journey, the festival invites audiences to move freely from one stage to another, discovering a variety of atmospheres and artistic worlds.
The programme embraces a resolutely eclectic spirit, reflecting Bangkok's vibrant creative energy -- from pop to molam, hip-hop to jazz, techno to voguing performances, each stage will showcase a strong artistic identity highlighting the richness and diversity of contemporary artistic expression.
Ready to join the festival are some of the most dynamic artists on the current scene. The line-up includes Ojos and Olympe 4000 from France; André Mergenthaler from Luxembourg; Claudio Filippini from Italy; and JJ Paolo from Denmark creating a rich dialogue between jazz, electronic music, experimental and contemporary sounds. Among the highlights of the 2026 edition is the Glitter Ball, organised at Alliance Française to celebrate voguing culture and artistic expressions emerging from LGBTI communities.
The party will be led by the legendary Vini Revlon and La Gaite Lyrique, offering a creative, festive and inclusive dialogue between France and Thailand.
Set to liven up the day and evening will be a food market, interactive activities and a busking competition encouraging spontaneous artistic expression and active audience participation.
The festival is open to visitors of all ages, free of charge
