From Thursday until Feb 24, the Nai Lert Flower & Garden Art Fair, one of Thailand's most prestigious floral events, makes a return at the Park of Nai Lert in Soi Somkid on Ploenchit Road from 9am to 8pm.
The event is aimed at promoting Thailand as one of Asia's most female-friendly destinations. The centrepiece is a 575m² floral carpet -- one of the largest floral carpets in Asia. The fair is specially curated under the theme of "X Factors": Flowers x Art, Flowers x Fashion, Flowers x Taste, Flowers x Play and Flower x Competition.
Flowers x Art showcases flower installations under the concept of "Floral Carnival" from 20 invited exhibitors. There is also an exhibition of floral garlands at Nai Lert Park Heritage Home.
Flowers x Fashion allows more than 40 talented young artists to show off their skills with handmade products at the Art Market. Meanwhile, the Exhibition Gallery features 45 shops with luxury products ranging from jewellery to decorative items and local textiles.
Flowers x Taste presents Nai Lert Pier, the floating market selling local delicacies; Ma Maison showcasing authentic Thai home cooked recipes with special floral ingredients; Lady L offering floral western recipes; and The Backyard featuring more than 20 famous food vendors and food trucks for a simple yet satisfying dining experience.
Flowers x Play at the sales gallery offers seven workshops, such as floral mixology, frame loom weaving, art-to-wear and a photography class.
Flowers x Competition comprises a floral chandelier competition and a "Happy Garden" competition.
The Park of Nai Lert is more than a century old and covers 14 rai of lush land. It is home to Nai Lert Park Heritage Home. Admission to the event is 150 baht per head.
