Misfiring Thai League 1 champions Buriram United are confident that they can upset Beijing Guoan in the Chinese capital in the AFC Champions League tonight.
The match at Workers' Stadium kicks off at 7pm, Thai time, while South Korea's Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors host Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds in the other Group G game.
After three matches, Jeonbuk have six points, Urawa and Beijing four each, and Buriram three.
Beijing hammered Buriram 3-1 at Chang Arena earlier this month but Buriram coach Bozidar Bandovic said yesterday he was pleased with his team's performance.
"I was happy with the team's performance but not the result," he told a press conference.
He said he had done home work before today's game and felt confident that the Thunder Castle could beat the Chinese side.
"We did our home work. We analysed the previous game. We saw our mistakes and have plans to stop their strikers and other players," Bandovic said.
"We have to stay focused during the whole game. Of course, we respect our opponents but I think we can beat them."
Buriram have struggled in the domestic and continental club competitions.
In their two previous Thai League 1 matches this month, they could only manage two home draws with Chiang Rai United and Trat.
They are now four points behind leaders Port although Bandovic's men have a game in hand.
Beijing coach Roger Schmidt said: "This is an important game. We will be playing at home so we have to win the match."
