A band from Niger who were due to play a sold-out gig in Belfast were turned away from Dublin Port on Friday due to Visa issues.
Mdou Moctar were set to play in Belfast on Saturday night but announced yesterday morning that they were unable to get into the country.
A statement on Instagram said: "Yesterday upon arrival in Dublin we were turned away and detained for eight hours, despite having the visas that we were told we required.
"We were very excited to play in Ireland for the first time, but the forces that be created some unsurmountable obstacles for us. Given the gruelling and traumatic day, we will not be able to play in Belfast tonight. Tour will recommence tomorrow night in Glasgow."
The popular band had been due to play at the Ulster Sports Club in Belfast.
Gardai have been contacted for comment on the matter.
