An exciting new Italian restaurant is preparing to open in the centre of Glasgow.
The arrival of Banco Di Roma has been teased on social media in recent days ahead of its upcoming opening on Royal Exchange Square.
The restaurant will find home in the former Zizzi's, that occupied the beautiful city centre property, the A-listed former Royal Bank of Scotland building, until its closure during the pandemic.
Last July, the owner of Zizzi's and Ask Italian confirmed 75 restaurants would not be reopening amid the Covid-19 pandemic, resulting in the loss of 1,200 jobs.
And in August we reported on Viva Italia group's plans to bring the venue back to life with a new restaurant. Viva Italia own the likes of Toni Macaroni and Mozza in Glasgow as well as eateries such as the famous Nardini's in Largs.
Over the weekend, the Banco Di Roma Instagram page shared posts hinting at what Glaswegians can expect from the city's latest dining spot.
They said: "Welcome. We're taking small steps to reveal Banca Di Roma to you. Curious? Stay tuned.
"Our location is an iconic and grand vista reflecting our essence. Are you ready to discover Banca Di Roma?
"Elegant, modern and stylish. A place to be surprised."
An opening date is yet to be confirmed but we'll be bringing you all the updates on Glasgow Live.
Banco Di Roma will be at 31 Royal Exchange Square, G1 3AJ.
