Marcelo Bielsa's final message to Leeds United's players and fans before the long push to March

Leeds United secured a 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon as they head into the international break having won back-to-back games for the first time since August.

Patrick Bamford opened the scoring from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark, ending a ten-match goalless run after Luke Ayling had been brought down in the Rovers box. Leeds doubled their advantage five minutes later when Bamford turned provider, teeing up Jack Harrison, who netted his second goal in two matches.

Derrick Williams would pull one back shortly before the break, but Leeds were able to see the victory out and keep their place in the Championship top three.

Here is every question and answer from Marcelo Bielsa's post-match press conference in full.

Well done on the win, Marcelo. At 2-0 did you feel there was a chance you could run away with the game?

At that moment it was difficult to think that the opponent could score, but after when they scored, everything has changed.

A special moment when Patrick Bamford scored today. It was well celebrated - how much of a relief was it for you to see that penalty go in?

I think this player has a big character, a big personality and he took the responsibility to score again and it wasn’t easy for him.

How do you feel Helder Costa impacted the game today?

In the second half, better than in the first one. He had the ability of unbalance that he showed. He has to achieve more than just chances than those ones that he has got in the match.

Has Liam Cooper aggravated the same injury?

Honestly, I didn’t ask, but it could be the same as the other time, but not so heavily injured.

How do you feel about today's performance as a whole?

We have shown superiority. We received just one shot on our goal. And one more chance for them, just one.

After we scored twice, we had 10 or 12 chances, but in the first and in the second half we had a lot of spaces to attack and we didn’t take advantage of that as much as we could.

Does win before international break help the mood around the camp for the next two weeks?

When you win, more than be happy, you are calm. And it’s good in football to have a time to relax.

Can you tell is how Adam Forshaw is progressing?

For the moment we don’t know when we’re going to take account of him.

Another start for Mateusz Klich - that's 62 Championship games in a row - after his new deal. How much of an achievement is that and how pleased are you that he has signed a new deal?

He deserves it. He's very good for Leeds. And also it's very good for him because the club recognises his importance in the club.

What will your priorities be over the international break?

First of all, the players have to rest. Even more because we don't stop in December, the Championship continues. In 40 days we are going to have 10 matches. We are going to have some weeks with three matches a week. So first of all, rest. And after that we prepare for the Luton match.
