Bamford chances, Phillips booking, a familiar issue - Leeds United fans' first half talking points vs Forest

Leeds United and Nottingham Forest went in in the Whites first match at Elland Road this season.

Marcelo Bielsa named an unchanged starting XI following last weekend's excellent 3-1 win at Bristol City and his side began brightly in front of the Sky Sports cameras at a sold out Elland Road, dominating possession and creating a number of early half-chances.

Patrick Bamford had an opening in the 25th minute when he was played in, but his first touch left him with too much work to do and his initial shot was saved before a second effort was blocked.

Kalvin Phillips was then booked for going in hard on Tiago Silva moments later in what was a fast-paced, physical first half hour.

The heavens then opened as Leeds and Forest fans in the south west corner at Elland Road traded Clough and Revie chants before the tempo dropped slightly on the pitch.

Here are the fans' maing talking points on social media from the opening half at Elland Road.
