A temporary restraining order has been granted for longtime Jackass director Jeff Tremaine against Bam Margera, after Tremaine claimed Margera had been sending him alarming messages, threatening him and his family.
The messages, obtained by TMZ, show the allegedly threatening correspondence Margera has been sending Tremaine since February, when the same outlet reported Margera had been kicked off the final film of the Jackass franchise for not upholding his end of the contract, which reportedly included a 90-day stint in rehab.
It’s also reported by TMZ that Margera didn’t show up to a virtual meeting with Tremaine earlier this year, which was set up to help Margera with his mental health and ongoing issues with sobriety.
The alleged messages from Bam claim that Tremaine is the reason why he is “ever batshit crazy”, and that he owes Margera “a lot of money”, and that Bam is going to kill Tremaine in “one motherfucking punch”. It’s reported that in further messages, Bam allegedly made threats against Tremaine’s children, with one message reading “Look at your children and grab your pocket book and write a check, if you are greedy, and cheap, look at your children again. If you don‘t sign the paper, look at you (sic) children. Sign your stupid fucking contract before your (sic) not safe anywhere.”
The documents obtained by TMZ also allegedly show Margera sending images to Tremaine at 3:30am, which appear to show his own drawn up contract written entirely in an alphabet Margera created in 2019 called “laksian striggio”.
Margera has publicly spoken out against Tremaine and Jackass ringleader Johnny Knoxville on social media, with several posts on Instagram about the Jackass contract, which he also refers to as “Bam’s Bogus Agreement”.
Reports show that the temporary restraining order granted to Tremaine requires Margera to stay at least 100 yards (around 90 metres) away from Tremaine, his wife, and children at all times, and to stop contacting him entirely.
