The Miami Heat are now in a 0-2 hole in the NBA Finals, but while the odds are heavily against them, head coach Erik Spoelstra said that his team “doesn’t give a s***” about what they are facing. He will probably feel a little better about their chances in Game 3 if they have Bam Adebayo back in the lineup, which the center believes he will be.
Adebayo told Yahoo’s Chris Haynes he believes he will be in the lineup.
“Yes, I believe I’ll be in the lineup,” Adebayo told Yahoo Sports after missing the Los Angeles Lakers’ 124-114 victory that gave them a 2-0 series lead. “I’m feeling better. I believe I’ll play.”
While the Heat are down 0-2 in the NBA Finals, coming back from such a deficit has several precedents, including in Heat history when Dwyane Wade helped lead the Heat to the franchise’s first championship in 2006 against the Dallas Mavericks. LeBron’s Cleveland Cavaliers also accomplished the same thing in the 2016 Finals against the Golden State Warriors.
