Baltimore’s David Hess couldn’t believe it when he got pulled late in a no-hit bid

Baltimore right-hander David Hess had thrown just 82 pitches and was eight outs away from a possible no-hitter with a 6-0 lead in Toronto on Monday night when something incredible happened – his rookie manager, Brandon Hyde, came out and pulled him out of the game.

For real.

Baltimore coughed up two runs in that inning and then had to hold on for 6-5 win after Hess left the game.

The 25-year-old had a look of shock on his face and appeared to try to talk Hyde out of the decision but it wasn’t meant to be.
