Baltic Triangle bar Brick Street to expand with new rum garden Checkpoint Charlie

Baltic Triangle favourite Brick Street is expanding - with a brand new garden space called Checkpoint Charlie.

The new space will specialise in rum punch, with a rustic summer seating area and a purpose built stage perfect for live acts set to perform throughout the summer.

Checkpoint Charlie will launch over Easter weekend, on Sunday, April 21 with a huge outdoor party - and just in time to celebrate Brick Street’s first birthday.

From 2pm to 9pm, live acts will be performing all things rhythm and soul - and visitors will even get some free homemade fried chicken.

During the day, there will be sets from Samurai Kip, The Lemonade Fix, Nikki & The Waves, Maddie Stenberg and even a DJ set from Tea Street Band.

The party will then head indoors for an evening of Brick Street collaborations with Suede Sessions, which will bring an array of reggae, hip- hop, funk, and soul sounds.

According to Brick Street, guests can expect "all things rum and ruin bar vibes".
