Ballynahinch crash sees motorcyclist taken to hospital after collision with van

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash with a van in Co Down .

Emergency services were called to the Newcastle Road in Ballynahinch at 12.50pm on Tuesday, following the collision.          

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage available to contact officers.

Inspector Darren Hardy said: “A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment following the collision between a van and motorcycle which was reported to police at approximately 12.50pm.

“Enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage available to contact on 101, quoting reference number 582 of 14/05/19.”

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
