A number of Ballymun residents are under siege from teen gangs throwing fireworks in front doors and at moving cars.
Residents claim the Balcurris area of the sprawling north Dublin suburb has been bombarded by gangs lighting bonfires and hurling fireworks without "giving a s**t who is walking up and down".
A post in a local Facebook group showed a number of youths with their bikes gathered around a large fire on a field in the area.
The post read: "This is what happens in Balcurris nearly every evening now.
"The kids are all under 12.
"I wonder do their parents know where they are and what they are doing, because the same kids are doing it all the time, and making a mess of the place, but none of them will do it in front of their own homes."
A number of distressed locals chimed in with their own horror stories that they've experienced in the run up to Halloween this year.
One said: "I live in Santry Cross [a nearby apartment block]. It's a disgrace! Out on the field the other day throwing fireworks at people's front doors in the house, then out on the Ballymun Road not giving a s**t who was walking up and down."
Another wrote: "I see them off my balcony, I had to ring a fire brigade one night. Disgraceful, throwing fireworks at people and cars going down the road."
