Ballymena incident sees man arrested after window smashed

A man was arrested after a window was smashed in Co Antrim in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police in Ballymena were called to a report that a window was smashed at a house in the Larne Street area at around 1.20am.

Officers attended the scene and a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage. He has since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.

Police said their enquiries are ongoing.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police in Ballymena investigating a report of criminal damage in the early hours of Saturday morning, July 8th have arrested a man.

"It was reported at around 1.20am that a window was smashed at a house in the Larne Street area of Ballymena.

"Officers attended and a short time later a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

"Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident to contact 101 quoting reference number 156 of 08/07/23."
