A unique 'urban beach' has opened in a Co Antrim town.
Boasting bucket loads of sand and its own lighthouse, the Ballymena beach at People's Park will be open until the end of August.
It will be bolstered by a range of family friendly activities over the next few months.
Designer Ian Price said: “This is very much a first for me as a garden designer.
“I really do relish the opportunity to create something new and different, and this is the first time anyone has asked me to design such a unique space.
"I was honoured to be asked to be involved with this exciting event and my hope is that this is enjoyed by all that visit, and it becomes a talking point far beyond the council area.
"I’m delighted the urban beach has opened for families throughout our borough to enjoy during the summer holidays.
"This is a unique, fun outdoor attraction. Well done to everybody behind this innovative attraction, which is a first for Northern Ireland."

The project is part of Mid and East Antrim’s £3m Local Authority Action Plan, which is financed through the EU’s PEACE IV Programme.
The beach will be open from 9am until 8pm in July and August.
