Ballybeen petrol bomb attack investigation after flats targeted

An investigation is underway after a petrol bomb was thrown at flats in Ballybeen .

Police were called at 4.20pm on Sunday afternoon, September 1, to reports flats had been damaged in a petrol bomb attack in the Dungoyne Park area of the estate in Dundonald .

Officers have started an investigation and anyone with information is asked to come forward.

Inspector Gavin McKenna said: "We received a report at 4.20pm that flats in the Dungoyne Park area had been damaged by a petrol bomb.

"Thankfully there were no reports of any injuries.

"I am appealing for anyone who may have any information in relation to the incident to please contact 101 quoting reference number 1504 of 01/09/19."
