Balloon release planned to pay tribute to 'much loved' Scots mum who died

A ballon release is going to take place to remember a 'much loved mum' who died after an incident near the M9 at the weekend.

Courtney McNiven was rushed to Forth Valley Hospital after emergency services were called to Bo’ness Road, Polmont, at 2am on Saturday October 9.

Devastated loved ones are asking those who knew the 24-year-old to gather in Maddiston Park on Wednesday October, 13, to celebrate her life.

Everyone is being asked to bring a pink balloon along for the release at 7pm.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Courtney's family with funeral costs - which has raised almost £4,000.

Tributes are continuing to flood in for the young mum.

One person said: "I think everyone is lost right now, my gosh! Courtney I am so so sorry. I hope you're at peace now thinking of your two beautiful kids and family.

"Will remember the good times forever a friend. Big love always darling, sleep tight x"

Another wrote: "Honestly don’t even know what to say still feel like it’s no real just wish stuff could’ve been different sleep tight courts I’ll see you when I see you one love."

While a third commented: "Sleep tight Courtney McNiven canny make sense of it all."

"Fly High sweetheart", added one.
