Balloch care home taking huge strides in improving care standards

A Balloch care home has taken strides in improving its standards.

Sunningdale Care Home, which sits on Mollanbowie Road, was under close watch by West Dunbartonshire Council after its grading by the Care Inspectorate dropped in 2018.

Since being subject to close scrutiny, the home has improved from “adequate” to “very good” regarding leadership, care and support and is now rated “good” in setting.

Supporting people’s wellbeing also increased from “good” to “very good”.

The report was discussed at the health and social care partnership meeting last week.

Jo Gibson who is head of health and community care, said: “Sunningdale is owned and managed by I&S Scotcare Ltd who operate this single care home. There is space for 17 residents and there are currently 11 staying at the moment.

“An inspection was carried out in September which showed improvement across all categories.”
