Impressive on his recent hurdling debut in Cork, Foveros will be expected to follow-up for the champion partnership of Willie Mullins and Paul Townend in the Sheridan Electric 4-Y-0 Hurdle in Ballinrobe today.
Successful on the flat in France before joining Closutton, Foveros was sent off 4/9 favourite for his Irish debut and, although keen and racing fluently early, warmed to his task and, ultimately, scored impressively by eight lengths from Nero Rock.
The Authorized gelding will be more professional this time and, despite a 7lb penalty, should prove too strong for Jessica Harrington’s Morosini.
Gordon Elliott’s Erratic Path looks the one to beat in the opening BetVictor Maiden Hurdle.
And Noel Meade’s Miss Cognac sets the standard in the mares bumper.
